Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Hero Network collects, uses, and shares information when you use Sync Stitch.
Information We Collect
The two video files you upload (Peer A and Peer B).
Your email address, collected at upload to send you the result and (for free tier) to gate the download.
If you use the “notify your guest” feature: the guest's email address you provide.
Basic request metadata (IP address) used solely for abuse prevention (rate limiting and per-IP free-tier enforcement).
How We Use Your Information
To process your sync job: transcribe audio, determine the sync alignment point, and render the side-by-side output.
To send you a result link and a verification email.
To enforce free-tier abuse guardrails (per-IP and per-email caps).
To process payment via Stripe (paid tier).
Third-Party Processing
When you upload files, the audio tracks are extracted and sent to third-party processors as follows:
- OpenAI (Whisper):audio is sent to OpenAI's API for transcription. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to data processed by their service.
- Anthropic:transcript data is sent to Anthropic's API to determine the alignment point. Anthropic's privacy policy applies.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS S3): uploaded video files and rendered output are stored in Amazon S3. AWS's privacy policy applies.
- PostHog: anonymised usage analytics (page views, upload events) are collected via PostHog.
- Resend: transactional emails (verification links, result notifications) are sent via Resend.
- Stripe: payment information for paid syncs is processed by Stripe. Hero Network does not store card details.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: bot-protection challenges on the upload form are provided by Cloudflare Turnstile.
Data Retention
Uploaded video files and rendered output files are automatically deleted from storage after 30 days. Email addresses are retained to fulfil the service and may be used to send transactional emails related to your sync jobs.
